Corrado Roof Molding

Updated: 04/20/2007

It's just a matter of time before the UV and heat start to crack and split the two runner roof strips.
The strips are primarily a cosmetic part, as they just hide the channels where the rood panel is joined with
the rest of the body.

Replacement is an option, but an expensive one. Owners have reported paying over $200 for the two strips.

The cheaper option, if the strips are not too far gone, is to trim off the the thin lip along the inner edge that
usually cracks and splits. If the main part of your strips are cracking, then you will have to consider other
options.

Below are pictures of my roof strips after I trimmed them with a new sharp razor blade. If you are careful and
cut right up to the edge of the main strip, you don't need to worry about cutting into the paint.
